On the occasion of International Women’s Day, on the 8th of March 2012, Alpha Bank has offered its entire staff the well-known pink ribbon lapel pins, created by EUROPA DONNA as a message of hope against breast cancer.
The Bank purchased the pins as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility Policy sending a message of support and gratitude both to EUROPA DONNA and its staff. On the one hand, the Bank’s aim with this gesture is to thank women for their contribution to family, work and society in general, and remind them that caring for their health is of paramount importance, and on the other, to support and financially reinforce EUROPA DONNA for its difficult and important work against breast cancer in Cyprus.
EUROPA DONNA Cyprus is a member of the European Federation EUROPA DONNA, an independent, non-profit European organisation in the fight against breast cancer, which numbers 45 working groups all over Europe. EUROPA DONNA’s main aim is to educate, sensitize and enlighten the public on breast cancer. It also aims to awaken and motivate European women in seeking more information on the subject of facing breast cancer.
