Cyprus participates in 11th “China International Fair for Trade In Services”

Cyprus’ Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry participated in the 11th “China International Fair for Trade In Services”, with the aim of promoting Cyprus as a destination for investments and business services, according to an announcement by the Ministry.

The Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with the Republic of Cyprus Trade Centre in Beijing, participated with an information booth at the 11th “China International Fair for Trade In Services”, which took place between September 12 and 16, in Beijing.

It notes that Cyprus’ pavilion was visited by a large number of business representatives, who were informed and received informational material regarding Cyprus and the advantages it offers as an international business centre. Particular interest was shown in the fields of professional services (company registration), IT, technology and education”, it adds. The exhibition, it said, is one of the largest general exhibitions in the services sector in Asia.

At the same time, it adds, Cyprus’ Commercial Counselor in Beijing, Petros Petrou, gave, within the framework of the exhibition, several interviews, while he also participated as a speaker in two conferences, with the aim of promoting Cyprus as a destination for investments and business services.

It is noted that 85 countries and international organisations participated in the exhibition, which has been held annually since 2012, and which attracted 342,000 visitors this year.
