The Price Index of Construction Materials showed an annual increase of 3.45% in the period January-October 2023 but dropped slightly in October compared to the previous month.
According to the Statistical Service of Cyprus, the Price Index of Construction Materials for October 2023 reached 134.30 units (base year 2015=100), recording a decrease of 0.13% compared to the previous month.
Compared to the same month of the previous year, the index recorded a decrease of 0.31%.
By main commodity category, increases were recorded in minerals (14.03%), mineral products (5.48%) and products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals and plastics (0.67%), whereas decreases were recorded in metallic products (-9.45%) and electromechanical products (-0.05%).
For the period January-October 2023, the index recorded an increase of 3.45% compared to the corresponding period of 2022.
