Piraeus Bank intends to increase strake in BOC to 9.9%

Piraeus Bank intends to increase its stake in the share capital of the Bank of Cyprus to 9.9%. In an announcement released on Friday, the Greek bank reiterated the statements of its Deputy Chairman and Deputy Managing Director, Michalis Kolakides, that the bank’s strategic is to increase its stake in the Cypriot bank to 9.9%. The acquisition of more than 9.9% is subject to the Central Bank of Cyprus approval.
The Bank of Cyprus share closed at £4.46 and at +3.7% on Friday.
