Christis Dairies Ltd announced that it has signed an agreement on the 20 April 2001 with the company Dodoni AE, a Greek ice-cream production company and another agreement with the British multinational company Uniq (ex-St. Ivel) which produces the fruit yoghurts and desserts Shape.
By the agreement, Christis Dairies will produce the companies’ products and distribute them under the name Shape both in Cyprus as well as to neighbouring countries such as Lebanon, Greece and others.
Shape products are well established in Europe, mainly in the UK market and are highly nutritional but low fat products. Shape fruit yoghurts and desserts will mainly consist of local milk and fresh ingredients such as fruit and will appear on the market by October of this year.
Apart from enriching the range of products which Christis produce, the agreement is anticipated to contribute to increased turnover and profits of the company.
