CTC: Amended Final Results

The company Cyprus Trading Corporation Ltd. announced that following completion of examination of its final results for 2000, increased pre-tax profits were noted compared to the previous year and a slight reduction of net profits of the group compared to preliminary results recently published.
Turnover reached CYP 83.947.600 compared to CYP 71.462.588 in 1999, an increase of 17,5%. Pre-tax profits reached CYP 9.693.475 compared to CYP 5.764.142 in 1999 with profits attributable to shareholders equalling CYP 8.042.079 and not CYP 8.091.000 as was quoted in the preliminary results. Net profits compared to preliminary results published on the 21 March 2001 show a reduction of CYP 49.000.
During the Board meeting of CTC of the 4 May 2001, it was decided to call an EGM for the 28 June 2001 immediately preceding the AGM to seek endorsement of a special resolution authorising the Board to acquire shares of the company within a time frame of 12 months from the date of approval of the resolution and according to provisions of the Amended legislation of 2000.
