28/9/2001 15:48
Chritis Dairies Ltd. published its six month unaudited results for the first six month period of 2001.
Turnover for the period rose to CYP 9.780.000, an increase of 9%, with pre-tax profits up by 7.8% to CYP 556.000. After-tax profits were CYP 445.000 compared to CYP 415.000 with earnings per share of 1,12 cents on an average number of 39.566.000 cents.
The company stated that there were increased profits despite the fact that over the period there was a significant shortage of milk (over the last months of the period), resulting in the company not being able to fulfil increased demands from abroad for its products.
Taking into consideration the technological upgrade of all its production units which has recently been completed, the addition of new products and the continuing rise in sales, together with the experience and know-how of its management, the company is taking all necessary steps for its continuing success and profits.
