Muskita to file appeal against DC decision for Alsako
Decision of Nicosia District Court, no. 10752/01
Further to the announcement dated October 25, 2006, Muskita Aluminium Industries Plc announces that it has already assigned to its legal advisors to file an appeal against the decision above.
The Company never gave to Alsako Aluminium Ltd and/or its shareholders any guarantee and did not authorize any other person to give a guarantee on the Company’s behalf to any of those persons or any other person in relation to shares that those persons or any other persons acquired in any way.
As it was announced, the Company was in agreement with two more companies for the distribution of the sum that each one would have to submit in case that the appeal fails. The Board of Directors is already in agreement with the heirs of Mr. Georgios Mouskis, as well as the family business, Muskita Investments Ltd, which was called Musita Aluminium Company Ltd at the time of the filing of the appeal that even if the decision against the Company is not cancelled, the Company will not be burdened by any other sum. The sum will be fully covered by the heirs of Georgios Mouskis and/or the family company Muskita Investments Limited.
The Company does not intend to comment on the content or the findings of the Court in anticipation of the result of the appeal that it intends to file.
