Marfin approved the granting of Credit Facility to Marfin Egnatia

ANNOUNCEMENT OF REGULATED INFORMATIONOF GREEK LAW 3556/2007 & OF CYPRUS LAW 190(Ι)/2007
In accordance with Article 11 of Cyprus Law 116(I)/2005 and Article 10 of Greek Law 3340/2005, Marfin Popular Bank Public Co Ltd announces that its Board of Directors, following the agreement of the Central Bank of Cyprus, in relation to the Programme of its subsidiary Marfin Egnatia Bank SA for the issuance of (ordinary) covered bonds of up to 3 Billion euro, in accordance with the provisions of the Greek Legislation and following the approval of the Bank of Greece, approved the granting of a Credit Facility to Marfin Egnatia Bank SA to secure possible demands of the Covered Bondholders and of all its Secured Creditors. It is noted that Marfin Egnatia Bank SA decided the issue of the first series of the ordinary Covered Bonds of €1 Billion.
This announcement is made in accordance with Cyprus Law 190(I)2007 and Greek Law 3556/2007 and has been posted on the Bank’s website (www.laiki.com).
