ANNOUNCEMENT OF REGULATED INFORMATION
MARFIN POPULAR BANK PUBLIC CO LTD announces that on 3.3.2009 MARFIN INVESTMENT GROUP HOLDINGS S.A., person that can be considered as closely associated to persons discharging managerial responsibilities within the Bank, acquired 11.000.000 shares of the Bank of total value of euro 13.540.147,50, which the Company was entitled to acquire pursuant to the terms of a financial instrument (total return equity swap).
