The total sales of petroleum products in July amounted to 128,527 tonnes, recording an increase of 9.7% compared to July 2022, according to data published by the Cyprus Statistical Service on Monday.
A rise of 16.2% was observed in the provisions of aviation kerosene, while sales of light and heavy fuel oil went up 55.6% and 33.6% respectively. Asphalt noted an increase of 20%, motor gasoline 8.9% and road diesel 5.4%.
On the contrary, a 47.7% decrease was observed in the provisions of marine gasoil, while the sales of kerosene dropped 35.4%.
As far as the sales from filling stations are specifically concerned, these have registered an increase of 8.6% to 56,316 tonnes.
Total sales of petroleum products in July 2023 compared to June 2023 recorded a drop of 3.2%. Indicatively, the provisions of marine gasoil fell by 47.7%, the sales of road diesel by 8.7% and motor gasoline 1.8%, while the provisions of aviation kerosene increased by 15%.
Total stocks of petroleum products at the end of July 2023 rose by 15.2% compared to the end of the previous month.
During the period January – July 2023, the total sales of petroleum products dropped by 0.5% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
