Universal Bank appoints D. Ioannides as Board member

We wish to inform you that at the meeting held on August 23, 2007, the Board of Directors appointed Mr. Demetris Ioannides as new Board member with effect from August 23, 2007.
Mr. Demetris Ioannides graduated from Isleworth Polytechnic, where he studied Economics. He started his career in Deloitte in London, holding a managerial post. In 1988 he established Deloitte & Touche in Cyprus, where he worked until 2005 as a Managing Associate and later as Executive Chairman. He is currently the Honourary Chairman and Fonder of Deloitte & Touche in Cyprus. In 2005, he became a Chairman and Managing Associate in Meritservus, which is actively involved in the sector of accounting, financial and consulting services.
He is a Board member in several companies, as well as a member of “Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, UK”, “Τhe Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Cyprus”, “Chartered Management Institute, UK”, “Chartered Institute of Taxation, UK”, and “The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, UK”.
Mr. Ioannides’ knowledge together with his high academic qualifications is expected to contribute positively to the improvement of the Bank’s activities.
