CSE: Procedures for common platform – CPB rights – Contract for purchase of building

The CSE Council would like to inform the investing public that:
a) The procedures for the enforcement of the common CSE-ASE platform are reaching their final stage. Specifically:
- between 20 – 21/7/06, the CSE organized at its offices a special training for the members and custodians as well as a preparatory program for the mock tradings that will take place between 24-28/7/06.
- the mock tradings, which will be attended by all the CSE and ASE factors, will examine the transactions concerning the trading, the settlement and the cash arrangements and will end up with the final conclusions on the technical infrastructure of the project.
The CSE Council announces that the CSE and the ASE will issue a joint announcement on the exact date of launch, when the mock tradings will be completed and the two parties ensure that the markets are ready.
- For Tuesday 25/7/2006, the CSE has organized a presentation on the Cyprus stock market and the operation of the CSE in the Common Platform. The event will take place in Athens and will address the Greek authorities.
- The CSE has already received a number of applications by the CSE Members that are actively involved in the Athens Stock Exchange for their registration as CSE Members for the provision of financial services in Cyprus. The CSE Council urges the Greek and Cypriot members and custodians to proceed to all necessary procedures for their registration in the CSE and the ASE on time, so that their participation in the Common Platform at its launch is feasible.
b) As regards to the new Popular Bank shares that have resulted from the exercise of rights, it is noted that the CSE has already examined the relevant documents. It is, therefore, announced that the new shares that have resulted from the issue of rights of the Popular Bank and the shares that were allocated to its staff, will be transferred to the Members’ accounts (brokerages) on Monday, 24/7/06.
c) The CSE Council would like to inform the investing public that it has signed a contract for the purchase of a building that it will host the CSE offices. Further details will be announced at a press conference.
