Louis: Purchases of Birka Princess ship against $35m

Louis Public Company Ltd announces that it has signed an agreement with the Finnish company Birka Cruises for the purchase of cruise ship Birka Princess against $35 million. The ship will be delivered in March.
Birka Princess has been built in Finland in 1986 and has been fully refurbished against $26 million in 1999. It is of 22,412 tons and carries 1537 passengers in 584 cabins. It has all amenities and systems of a modern cruise ship.
In April, the new ship will start 3-day and 4-day cruises from the port of Piraeus for account of Louis Hellenic Cruises, which is expected to contribute significantly to the Company’s profitability.
