Subject: Appointment of new Independent Non-Executive Board member of Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd
Pursuant to the CSE and SEC Regulations, Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd announces that at the meeting held on December 17, 2007 the Board of Directors appointed Mr. Kyriakos Drousiotis from Paphos as new Independent Non-Executive Board member of Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd, pursuant to Article 112 of the Articles of Association.
Mr. Kyriakos Drousiotis is an economist, chartered accountant, accredited director of studies from the Cyprus Technology Foundation and Chairman of Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
His appointment will be effective from January 8, 2008, a date that has been confirmed in writing by the Central Bank of Cyprus, pursuant to the Directive on “The Ability and Suitability (Evaluation criteria) of the Directors and the Managers of Banks 2006 and 2007”. Mr. Kyriakos Drousiotis will be a Non-Executive Board member until the next Annual General Meeting, when he will be able to put forward for reelection”.
