MARFIN POPULAR BANK PUBLIC CO LTD announces that on 22/05/2009 MARFIN INVESTMENT GROUP HOLDINGS S.A., person that can be considered as closely associated to persons discharging managerial responsibilities within the Bank, acquired 43.309.267 shares of the Bank of total value of Euro 119.176.944,54, which the Company was entitled to acquire pursuant to the terms of a financial instrument (total return equity swap).
