USB: Profit Warning for six-month results 2009

Pursuant to the CSE and SEC Regulations and in order to fully inform the shareholders and the investing public in general, USB Bank Plc announces that the profits for the first half of 2009 will be lower compared to the corresponding period of 2008 due to the lower net income from interests as a result of the constant rate cuts of the interbank market as well as the increase in the cost of deposits from the increasing competition.
