Hellenic Bank: Early redemption of Eurobond 2006/2011

Subject: Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd – Early redemption of €100,000,000 of Eurobond 2006/2011
The Hellenic Bank Public Company Limited announces that pursuant to Condition 11 of the issue terms, it has sent a notification to the holders of the Eurobond of €100,000,000 with a floating rate and maturity 2011 (the Bonds), which are listed in the Luxemburg Stock Exchange, that exercising the right provided by Condition 5 of the Terms and Conditions, it decided to redeem the Bonds at their nominal value on July 27, 2006 (date of interest payment).
The Bank has obtained the approval of the Central Bank of Cyprus on the early redemption of bonds. Following the redemption, no bonds of this type will remain.
